Retired Elder, South Carolina Conference, The United Methodist Church

Pastor Robert retired from active ministry in 2018 after serving 2 years in the North Carolina Conference and 24 years in the South Carolina Conference. Prior to attending Duke Divinity School and entering the ministry, he managed movie theatres, served in the U.S. Navy, earned his Master of Accounting, and was the Corporate Controller for South Carolina’s largest moving company.

Robert brought years of business training and experience to the role of pastor. About four years before retirement, he began teaching church administration at local church and district training events.

With the onset of the COVID pandemic and personal meetings and events no longer possible, he created a Church Administration Newsletter that now has almost 500 subscribers. He continues to teach and coach church administration via Zoom classes, and individual consulting.
